Custom Attributes

You can easily add custom fields to base, manufacturer and supplier component properties. Such fields may be useful to store company specific information, or extend the attributes to store information such as component case, footprint, stock levels, storage locations, etc.

Custom attributes support various data types, such as Boolean, Integer, Decimal, String and Date/Time. You can even define a custom base type in the form of an enumeration that will appear as a list of drop down values.

Depending upon the underlying data type, properties such as minimum and maximum values and a default value can be specified. Additional properties such as whether an attribute value is unique, mandatory or even auto-increment can also be defined.
